Oregon requires CMV's with a declared gross weight of 26,001 lbs. or greater to operate on Oregon roadways to obtain an Oregon Weight Distance Permit or temporary Oregon WDT permit. Permanent Oregon permits require a surety bond. Oregon tax reports are filed monthly. Permits renew annually. Bonds are waived after the first year of registration with no late filings. Carriers are allowed up to five temporary permits per year per CMV without requiring a permanent permit.
