What is IRP?

International Registration Plan is an agreement among the states of the US and Canada provinces providing payment of commercial motor carrier registration fees. Apportioned registration is required of motor carriers operating interstate with a commercial vehicle grossed in excess of 26,000 pounds. Registration is acquired through the carrier's base state.

IRP accounts are subject to audit by your base state. Mileage record requirements must be met and reported each year at renewal. Requirements for each state may vary. Contact us to see how we can help!
