Kentucky KYU is a tax license issued for all carriers traveling on Kentucky roadways with a combined license weight greater than 59,999 pounds. KYU license generates a highway use tax report to be filed quarterly with Kentucky and is based on the miles traveled during that quarter. Kentucky inventory must also be updated as you add and remove vehicles from your fleet. Commercial Motor Vehicle's not qualified under a Motor Carrier's KYU license are required to purchase temporary permits prior to entry.
