Texas DMV number is required for carriers who pick up and deliver within the state of Texas. This includes private and for-hire motor carriers with a gross weight of 26,000 pounds or more as well as Hazardous Material transporters, house hold goods movers with gross weight less than 26,000 pounds, commercial school bus operators and bus operators. Form E insurance filing is required for this permit.
